Function Keys

SNOOZE / LIGHT BAR:Turn the backlight on to activate

the snooze function when the

alarmis on.

MODE Button: Switch between Normal Time

Mode and AlarmTime Mode.

SET Button: In normal time mode, toggle

between 12 or 24 hour format.

In setting mode,change selected

items.

ADJUST Button: Toggle between Month/Date and

Year display. In Alarmtime mode,

switch ALARM/SNOOZE function

on or off.

RECEIVE Button: Press the "RECEIVE" button to

receive the signal for reception

testing.Check the signal strength

indicator in the first 30 seconds.

If the signal strength is acceptable

signal quality leave the clock in its

current location.Otherwise, move

the clock to another location.

The reception stops automatically

after 10 minutes.

Select the time zone:

The default time zone is the Pacific time zone. If you are

not in the Pacific time zone, please follow the below

instructions:

1. Fromthe normal time mode, press the "MODE" button

to enter the alarm time zone mode.

2. Press the "SET" button to change the time zone.

P=Pacific M=Mountain C=Central E=Eastern

3. Press the mode button to exit the zone setting function.

Signal Strength Indicator:

The signal indicator displays signal strength in 3 levels.

When the wave segments are flashing,the icon signal are

being received. The signal quality is classified into three types:

If the SKYSCANAtomic clock receives the signal

successfully, a solid signal strength symbol appears

on the display.

The unit has already received the time signal. Otherwise

the signal strength icon will disappear from theLCD

display.

Note: This mode searches for the time signal everyday

beginning at 2:00AM.The search duration will last

up to 12 minutes. If unsuccessful, the next search

If the SKYSCANAtomic clock does not receive the signal

successfully you can set the clock manually.

1. Press the "SET" button for 3 seconds until the HOUR

digit flashes.

2. Press the "ADJUST" button to increase the value of

the flashing digit.

Manually Setting the Time and Date:

3. Press the "SET" button to change the minute, second,

month, date, or year.

4. Press the "ADJUST" button to increase the value of

the flashing digit.

5. In TIME Mode press the SET button to toggle

between AM/PM.

6. In TIME Mode press the "ADJUST" button to toggle

between date and year.

7. Press the "MODE" button to exit the setting mode

"MODE" button to enter into the AlarmTime Mode.

2. Press the "SET" button for 3 seconds until the

HOUR digit flashes.

the "ADJUST" button to increase the setting value.

4. Press the "MODE" button to exit the setting mode.

the "SET" button again to set the minutes.Press

Using the Alarmand Snooze Function:

1. In the Normal Time Display mode, press the "MODE"

button to operate the alarm and snooze function.

2. Activate the ALARMby pressing the "ADJUST"

button so that the bell icon appears.

3. Activate the Snooze by pressing the "ADJUST" button

so that the snooze icon "Zz" appears.

4. To deactivate the alarmand snooze function, press

the "ADJUST" button until both icons disappear.

Getting Started:

1. Remove the battery door by slightly pressing the

knob upward.

2. Insert one newAAAsize battery as per the polarity

marked in the battery compartment.

3. Close the battery door.

4. When the battery is inserted, all the segments of

the display will show briefly before entering the

Radio controlled time reception mode.

5. The RCClock will automatically start scanning for

the radio controlled time signal after 15 seconds.

6. The default time zone is Pacific time. If you are in

this time zone,changing is not required. Otherwise,

change to the correct time zone (Refer to Select

the Zone).

Note: If there is no display on the LCD after inserting

the battery,check to insure the battery installed

is a newAAAalkaline battery or press the

RESET button.

Important:

For best reception performance,please follow these

basis points:

1. We strongly recommend you start your clock at

night. Allow the clock to receive the signal

automatically overnight.

2. Place the unit away frominterfering sources such

as TV's, computers,microwaves, etc.,

3. Avoid placing the unit on or next to metal surfaces.

4. Avoid closed areas such as airports, basements,

cement office buildings or factories. These locations

are not sensitivity to receiving the signal and is not

recommended.

Note: To stop the alarm with the snooze function, press

the snooze/light bar. The alarm will turn off for

3 minutes. You may repeat the snooze function

up to 4 times. The alarmwill automatically reset

itself to activate the next day.

Procedure will repeat everyday. You may use the

RECEIVE button to receive the time signal manually.

The receive mode stops automatically after 10 minutes.

The Receive mode consumes more battery power

and will reduce the battery lifetime.

Daylight Savings Time:

Your clock will automatically adjust itself for daylight savings

time. If you live in Arizona or a part of Indiana that does

not observe DST, manually change the time zone to reflect

the proper time.
